Liz Christensen is an Alberta-based Pop/Country Artist influenced by artists such as Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks and Taylor Swift.   Â
Â
Her new single, “Calendar” (Nov 2023) is a love song about meet cutes and nearly-missed connections. “This song is the definition of adorable to me,” says Christensen. “I love the idea of love and fate and timing.” Penned in the middle of lockdowns in 2020, its pop storytelling is very reminiscent of 2000s rom-coms. “Calendar” was produced by Mark Troyer at Evergreen Sound (Calgary, AB).  Â
Â
Liz’s previous single, “Ruined Roses” (May 2023) is a conversational confessional about a love that went wrong. Penned over a zoom write with Brettyn Rose and Lydia Sutherland, “Ruined Roses” hits where it hurts.“The moment we wrote the hook I was just so mesmerized. To me it perfectly represents the disillusionment of a love that turns to heartbreak.”
Â
Earlier releases include the singles, “Small Town” (2022), ”I Really Like You" (July 2021), “Summertime” (2020), “Different Shoulders” (2020), and “Fences” (2018).Â
She has also appeared on The Blue Jay Sessions group projects, lending her voice to covers of “The Best” (2022) and “Both Sides Now”(2020). Liz also won 96.5 CKFM’s Star Search (2018) in her hometown of Olds, AB.

“Liz is one of the brightest new talents on the Alberta music scene with an old soul approach to her writing that belies her age. Powerful vocals and lyrics that make you think. Liz is absolutely one to watch for!”Â
— Cory Noel | Program Director, CABK Broadcasting
“Albertan singer-songwriter LIZ is a fresh new voice in the Canadian prairies. The first time I heard her perform I was caught immediately by her siren-like vocal qualities and its haunting similarities to legendary Dolores O'Riordan. Farm-raised with an admirable work ethic, LIZ is poised to make real waves this year, and is an artist you'll want to keep on your radar.”Â
